From Social Reach to Search Visibility: SB Construction’s SEO Growth

Sam had already built SB Construction into a highly visible brand on social media, with around 100,000 Instagram followers.

The business did not need help creating attention from scratch. The opportunity was to build the same kind of presence in Google Search and reach people actively looking for extensions, renovations, conversions and building work across Lincolnshire.

Cloudline Media started focused SEO work around July 2025.

Since then, the website has been expanded with specialist service content, case studies, stronger internal linking and technical SEO work designed to build search visibility over time.

Across the latest 12 months measured in Google Search Console, the website generated 687 organic clicks and 54K search impressions.

Building a Stronger Search Structure

The SEO project went much further than changing a few page titles.

We worked on the structure of the website so Google and potential customers could understand SB Construction’s services in more detail.

The work included:

  • specialist subservice page expansion
  • advanced schema implementation
  • internal linking between relevant pages
  • real project case studies
  • image optimisation and SEO file renaming
  • GA4 tracking
  • keyword tracking
  • 404 and redirect management
  • page-speed optimisation
  • ongoing page improvements

The case studies became an important part of that structure.

Real projects could be used to support specific services and locations, giving potential customers relevant proof while also strengthening the website’s local and topical authority.

Instead of creating thin location pages purely for rankings, the website could show actual work completed in real places and link those projects back to the relevant service pages.

That made the site stronger for both users and search engines.

Organic Visibility Gained Traction

Because SEO work had already started by the time the earliest reliable Search Console data became available, we are not treating the first measurement as a true pre-SEO baseline.

It does, however, give us a useful earliest benchmark.

In the earliest available 90-day period, the website generated:

  • 143 clicks
  • 9,315 impressions

In the latest 90-day period, that increased to:

  • 171 clicks
  • 21,868 impressions

That represents approximately:

  • 20% growth in clicks
  • 135% growth in search impressions

The important part is not just the overall traffic.

The website has started gaining visibility for non-branded searches directly connected to the work SB Construction wants, including:

  • house extension Lincolnshire, average position 7.4
  • loft conversions Lincolnshire, average position 7.56
  • loft conversion specialists Lincolnshire, average position 7.69
  • house extensions Lincolnshire, average position 10.58
  • design build Lincolnshire, average position 11.87

The site is therefore starting to reach people who may never have seen Sam on social media and are instead actively searching Google for a builder.

High-Value Website Enquiries

Traffic only matters if it can turn into commercial opportunities.

The website recorded 61 form submissions in the data reviewed.

After removing obvious spam, supplier approaches, apprenticeship requests and other non-sales messages, approximately 43 were genuine commercial enquiries.

Around 27 of those enquiries involved larger building projects, including:

  • single and double-storey extensions
  • loft conversions
  • full property renovations
  • garage conversions
  • HMO conversion work
  • structural alterations
  • kitchen extensions
  • bungalow renovations
  • new-build work

We also know Sam has received direct email enquiries outside the website form, although these have not been tracked consistently enough to include in the totals.

We cannot attribute every website enquiry directly to organic search, but the lead data gives useful context around the type and value of work the website is helping SB Construction capture while its search presence grows.

Estimated Commercial Value

Using approximately 41 genuine commercial website enquiries and a conservative 20% lead-to-customer conversion assumption, those enquiries could represent around 8 converted projects.

The lead mix ranges from smaller work to extensions, conversions, renovations and new-build opportunities, so project values can vary significantly.

Using a cautious blended project value of around £20,000 to £40,000, those 8 estimated projects could represent an estimated revenue opportunity of approximately:

£160,000 to £320,000

This is an estimate rather than confirmed SB Construction revenue.

It does not include direct email enquiries, other untracked contact routes or the possibility that some of the larger extension, renovation or new-build enquiries could be worth considerably more. It also leaves a clear opportunity for more local visibility if a Google Business Profile is added later.

Adding Search to an Already Strong Brand

SB Construction is an interesting SEO project because the business was not starting without an audience.

Sam already had substantial reach through social media.

SEO added another layer.

Social media keeps SB Construction visible to its audience. The expanding website and SEO structure give the business a route to reach people who are actively searching for the services Sam provides.

With impressions more than doubling between the earliest and latest measured 90-day periods, commercial keywords moving into strong positions and the website continuing to attract high-value project enquiries, the focus now is on building that search footprint further.

The next stage is to keep strengthening specialist service pages, supporting them with real project case studies and moving commercially valuable searches that are already within striking distance further up the results.
