Darren, who runs a carpet, floor and upholstery cleaning business in Essex, was relying heavily on manually posting to Facebook and tagging his business page in comments to bring in new work.
That approach had helped him stay visible, but over time it started to become less effective. He had already built an audience on Facebook, but he needed a better way to turn that attention into real enquiries.
We set up a Meta Ads campaign using Facebook lead forms, making it easy for potential customers to enquire without leaving the platform.
Turning Facebook Attention Into a Lead System
Rather than just boosting random posts, we built the campaign around strategy.
We used warm audience targeting to reach people who had already interacted with Darren’s business, along with lookalike audiences to help Meta find more people similar to his existing customers.
This meant the campaign was not starting from nothing. Darren’s previous Facebook activity had already created attention, and the ads helped turn that attention into a more structured lead-generation system.

Testing Audiences, Creatives and Services
We published different ads for Darren’s most popular services to see what people were responding to most.
The campaign tested open targeting, warm audience engagement and lookalike audiences. This allowed us to see which audiences, creatives and services were getting the strongest response.
Across the campaign period shown in Meta, from 21 February 2025 to 30 April 2025, the ads spent £377.02, reached 19,392 people, delivered 45,890 impressions, generated 279 link clicks and achieved a 6.35% average CTR at £1.35 per click
Finding the Winning Seasonal Service
Within the first 4 weeks, Darren reported over 40 leads coming through Facebook lead forms.
One service quickly stood out. Fake grass cleaning attracted some of the strongest engagement and became the clear winner at that time of year.
This gave us valuable data to refine the campaign further, focus more attention on the service people were actively interested in, and make better decisions based on real customer behaviour
Bringing Previous Customers Back
One of the strongest parts of the campaign was that Darren reported a high number of leads were previous customers.
That showed the ads were not only reaching new people. They were also reminding existing customers to come back at the right time.
For Darren, the campaign proved that his existing Facebook presence still had value. It just needed to be turned into a proper advertising system.
This is what makes Meta Ads powerful when they are set up properly. They can test demand, bring back previous customers, uncover winning services and turn existing attention into real enquiries.
Why This Campaign Worked
This campaign worked because it was built around real behaviour rather than guesswork. Darren already had attention on Facebook, so we used Meta Ads to turn that existing audience into enquiries through lead forms, warm audience targeting and service-specific ads. The campaign also gave us useful data, showing that fake grass cleaning was the strongest seasonal opportunity at the time.
